"Blast Off!" is the second segment of the third episode of the Disney Junior series Doc McStuffins, which premiered on March 26, 2012.

Summary[]

Doc helps Carlos' toy space alien, Star Blazer Zero after his arms and legs fall off after a crash in his toy rocket.

Recap[]

Doc is traveling in the car with her Dad and two of her toys, when suddenly Doc's dad stops the car quickly, as a stoplight turned to red pretty fast. After asking Doc if she's okay, she says that she is, as well as Stuffy and Lambie, and Doc's dad says that it's a good thing they were wearing their seatbelts. As soon as they get home Doc takes Stuffy and Lambie into the backyard to play.

While in the backyard a toy rocket comes out of nowhere and lands right in front of them. Doc finds out that the toy rocket belongs to her neighbor Carlos and he asks if his toy, Star Blazer Zero, is okay. However, Carlos finds out that his toy fell apart when the rocket crashed landed. He asks Doc if she can fix him, since he heard that Doc was very good at fixing toys, and Doc agrees to help. She takes Zero and the toy rocket into her clinic, along with Lambie and Stuffy.

Inside the clinic, Zero is happy to make friends with the other toys, and Doc diagnoses him with "Fall-Apart-A-tude", meaning his arms and legs fell off when his rocket crashed. Doc and Hallie quickly put Zero back together, and Doc gives him a check-up to see if Zero is healthy, and soon, Zero is ready to fly again! Doc sends him on a test-flight, but once Zero lands, they find that he has fallen apart again! Doc quickly puts Zero back together, but she worries that if nothing changes, Zero's "Fall-Apart-A-tude" will keep getting worse. Hallie recommends finding a way for Zero to ride safely, and Doc remembers her earlier car ride with her dad. During that ride, their seatbelts protected them from getting hurt, and she wants to find a way to do the same for Zero. While his rocket doesn't have a seatbelt, Doc is able to install one in, and after one more test flight, Zero doesn't fall apart, and the seatbelt prevents him from getting "Fall-Apart-A-tude" again. With Zero fixed, Doc returns him to Carlos, explaining how the seatbelt will prevent Zero from falling apart again, and together, they launch his rocket, and Zero blasts off once again!

Quotes[]

For more quotes, see the episode's transcript
Stuffy: Now that we're home, I think we should play "Dragons Stomp."
Doc: How do you play?
Stuffy: A big, brave dragon--that's me--stomps through a city, smashing everything he sees.
Lambie: Help! Help! There's a leg after me!
Stuffy: And there's an arm on my tail!
Star Blazer Zero: Ka-zow! Those look like alien arms!
Stuffy: Yeah! They are alien arms! Your alien arms!
Doc: And your legs. They fell off when your rocket crashed.
Lambie: Oh, but don't worry. Doc here is out of this world at fixing toys!
Lambie: You need a cuddle!
Star Blazer Zero: Asking me not to fly is like asking this strangely soft lamb to stop cuddling. Or a dragon to stop roaring.
Hallie: Never fear, sugar, Doc'll find a way for you to ride safely.
Doc: Wait a second. When we were in the car, we wore our seatbelts. The seatbelts helped us to "ride safely".
